Sunday morning, a 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded close to Isangel, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor rattled the area at 22:10 UTC (09:10 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated approximately 47 km east-southeast of Isangel and occurred at a depth of 242 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 4.8 event, but later upgraded it to 5.0.
