Earthquake shakes area close to Kandrian, Papua New Guinea: 5.3 magnitude detected on Nov. 26

KANDRIAN DISTRICT, West New Britain Province — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.3 magnitude quake struck near Kandrian Wednesday morning.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 00:07 UTC (10:07 local time). The epicenter was situated about 59 km northwest of Kandrian, at a depth of 129 km.
