DENALI BOROUGH, AK — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Denali National Park on Tuesday around midday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor rattled the area at 8:49 p.m. (12:49 p.m. local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 32 miles east of Denali National Park and occurred at a depth of 3 miles. The magnitude was originally reported as 4.7 but later upgraded to 5.0.
