HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA — A 3.0 magnitude quake was registered close to Petrolia Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 8:06 a.m. (7:06 a.m. local time). It occurred at a depth of 8 miles with the epicenter located roughly 33 miles west-northwest of Petrolia.
