According to the National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Monday advisory, Tropical Depression Fay is in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,265 miles west-southwest of the Azores. With maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, it is moving to the south-southwest at 9 mph.

“Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, and Fay is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone on Tuesday,” analysts observed.
