Sept. 8: Earthquake of 6.8 magnitude reported near Vanuatu region

WEST SANTO, Sanma Province — Monday morning, a 6.8 magnitude quake was registered close to Vanuatu region, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 21:47 UTC (09:47 local time), the region was slammed by a tremor. The earthquake slammed at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter of Vanuatu region.
