Update: Aug. 12 – 5.2 magnitude earthquake reported close to Gorontalo, Indonesia

BONE BOLANGO REGENCY, Gorontalo — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake shook close to Gorontalo Tuesday morning.

The tremor, which hit the area at 02:14 UTC (10:14 local time), was centered roughly 27 km east-southeast of Gorontalo. It occurred at a depth of 274 km.
