A 5.0 magnitude quake was registered near Union Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor hit the area at 22:45 UTC (06:45 local time). The epicenter was located about 33 km east-southeast of Union, at a depth of 35 km.
