MARE, Loyalty Islands Province — A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted close to Tadine on Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 22:07 UTC (09:07 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was approximately 78 km east-northeast of Tadine and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
