A 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor rattled the area at 19:30 UTC (07:30 local time). It occurred at a depth of 57 km with the epicenter situated about 76 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
