Update: Sept. 30 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake detected near Guadalupe, Philippines

CEBU, Central Visayas — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake hit near Guadalupe Tuesday night.

The tremor jolted the area at 14:39 UTC (22:39 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated roughly 1 km south of Guadalupe.
