Update: Earthquake measuring 5.6 strikes area near Yamada, Japan on Nov. 9

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.6 magnitude quake hit close to Yamada Sunday afternoon.

The tremor jolted at 08:34 UTC (18:34 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 126 km east of Yamada and a depth of 10 km.
