Update: 5.3 magnitude earthquake hits near Namuac, Philippines on May 13

CAGAYAN, Cagayan Valley — A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to Namuac on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 22:01 UTC (06:01 local time), was centered approximately 53 km north of Namuac. It occurred at a depth of 35 km.
