A 5.6 magnitude quake was detected near Vilyuchinsk Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 23:48 UTC (10:48 local time). The epicenter was located roughly 176 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk, at a depth of 10 km.
