A 5.6 magnitude quake was recorded near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 07:09 UTC (18:09 local time), with its epicenter located about 157 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 10 km.
