Update: Earthquake of 5.4 magnitude recorded near Vanuatu region on Feb. 20

WEST SANTO, Sanma Province — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Vanuatu region Friday morning.

The tremor, which struck the area at 14:57 UTC (01:57 local time), was centered of Vanuatu region. It occurred at a depth of 609 km.
