Update: Seismic activity on Feb. 20 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake close to Mutsu, Japan reported

A 5.3 magnitude quake jolted close to Mutsu on Friday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 14:16 UTC (23:16 local time), a tremor struck the region at a depth of 54 km, with its epicenter approximately 71 km east-northeast of Mutsu.
