Update: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude registered near Tambolaka, Indonesia on Dec. 5

SOUTHWEST SUMBA REGENCY, East Nusa Tenggara — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Tambolaka Friday morning.

The tremor, which shook the area at 20:42 UTC (04:42 local time), was centered roughly 128 km south of Tambolaka. It occurred at a depth of 21 km.
