MARE, Loyalty Islands Province — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Tadine on Wednesday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 00:11 UTC (11:11 local time), was centered roughly 115 km east of Tadine. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
