Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 shakes area close to Khorugh, Tajikistan on April 27

ISHKASHIM, Badakhshan — A 5.1 magnitude quake struck near Khorugh on Monday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit the region at 06:46 UTC (11:16 local time). It occurred at a depth of 99 km with the epicenter about 28 km southwest of Khorugh.
