On Monday at 10:36 a.m. a red flag warning was released by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. for White River and Paradox Valley.

The NWS states that the warning was issued for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels. Residents can expect winds to be west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and relative humidity 7 to 12%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” says the NWS.
