On Saturday at 3:10 a.m. the National Weather Service released an updated red flag warning valid between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for Northeast Weld County.

The NWS states that the warning was issued for wind and low relative humidity. Winds are expected to be north 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph and relative humidity as low as 14 percent.

“Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire,” says the NWS.
