The game against Plymouth finished 2-1 and was Preston North End’s seventh in a row without a win in the Championship.

Plymouth started the match best and took the lead early when Mustapha Bundu netted after 14 minutes, making it 1-0.

It took until the 75th minute before Callum Wright increased the lead.

The goal that reduced the score to 2-1 came in stoppage time, when Emil Riis found the net for the Preston.

With one game remaining, Preston North End are in 20th place in the table and Plymouth are in 23rd.

The previous outing between the teams ended in a 3-3 draw, with Plymouth at home in October.

Preston North End’s next Championship game is against Bristol C (away) on 2 May. Plymouth play Leeds (home) on 2 May.
