Oxford United put on a masterclass at Kassam Stadium, securing a dominant 2-0 victory over Sunderland in the Championship. With two goals to their name, Oxford United left their opponents struggling to find a response.

Ben Nelson scored in the 29th minute to give Oxford U the lead in a previously goalless match.

Straight after the break, Michal Helik scored and increased the team’s lead.

Sunderland now have four straight defeats.

With one game remaining, Oxford United are in 17th place in the table and Sunderland are in fourth.

The previous outing between the teams ended in a 2-0 home win for Sunderland in October.
