Be prepared for freezing rain and drizzle in Capital District until Saturday night

A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Saturday at 6:47 p.m. for freezing rain and drizzle until 11 p.m. The alert is for Northern Saratoga, Southern Saratoga and Western Rensselaer.

“Temperatures have fallen to 32 degrees across portions of Saratoga and west to northwest Rensselaer County early this evening. Some intermittent light freezing rain or drizzle may cause light ice accumulations on untreated surfaces. Temperatures will start to warm back above freezing towards midnight as a warm front begins to move back northward across the region. The precipitation will change back to plain rain,” states the NWS.
