Update: Oct. 21 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded near Nūrābād, Iran

SEPIDAN, Fars Province — on Tuesday around midday, a 5.0 magnitude quake was detected close to Nūrābād, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 08:02 UTC (11:32 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 41 km east-northeast of Nūrābād, at a depth of 10 km.
