Update: Earthquake measuring 5.4 shakes area near Fais, Micronesia on Oct. 15

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Fais Wednesday evening.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 10:22 UTC (19:22 local time). The epicenter was located about 296 km south-southeast of Fais, at a depth of 10 km.
