Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes near Kieta, Papua New Guinea on Nov. 29

Saturday afternoon, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Kieta, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 06:04 UTC (17:04 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 100 km southeast of Kieta, at a depth of 155 km.
