Update: Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude recorded near Dawei, Burma (Myanmar) on Nov. 23

DAWEI, Tanintharyi Region — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.3 magnitude quake shook near Dawei Sunday morning.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 04:39 UTC (10:39 local time). The epicenter was located roughly 269 km west-southwest of Dawei, at a depth of 10 km.
