A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near La Paz on Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck the area at 13:19 UTC (21:19 local time). It occurred at a depth of 53 km with the epicenter approximately 33 km east-northeast of La Paz. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.0 but later upgraded to 5.1.
