ROSARIO VERA PEÑALOZA DEPARTMENT, La Rioja Province — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Candelaria on Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The tremor, which shook the area at 17:13 UTC (14:13 local time), was centered roughly 113 km west-northwest of Candelaria. It occurred at a depth of 131 km.
