Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake shakes near Masohi, Indonesia on March 6

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Masohi around midnight Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit the area at 15:27 UTC (00:27 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter roughly 147 km east-northeast of Masohi. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later downgraded it to 5.0.
