A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near Hirara on Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the area at 10:48 UTC (18:48 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was about 53 km northwest of Hirara and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
