Newcastle and Manchester United met on Sunday at St James’ Park. Newcastle came into the game off the back of a run of three successive wins in the Premier League and made no mistake to claim yet another vicory. The match finished 4-1.
The Magpies took an early lead when Sandro Tonali netted after 24 minutes, with an assist by Alexander Isak, making it 1-0.
The Red Devils equalised to make it 1-1, as Alejandro Garnacho found the net, in the 37th minute.
Straight after the break, Harvey Barnes scored and gave Newcastle the lead again.
In the 64th minute, Harvey Barnes increased the lead for Newcastle.
Bruno Guimaraes increased Newcastle’s lead with an assist by Bruno Joelinton, in the 77th minute.
For Newcastle, this means fourth place in the table, while Manchester United are in 14th place.
The previous match between the teams ended in a 2-0 away win for Newcastle in December.
