Late-Game Surge Propels Youngstown Phantoms to 6-1 win over Fargo Force

On Friday, March 27, 2025, at Covelli Centre, the Youngstown Phantoms proved their mettle in a fiercely competitive bout with the -team Fargo Force, erupting with three goals in the third period to seal a convincing 6-1 triumph.

The Phantoms took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Coleson Hanrahan. Jamison Sluys and Peter Cisar assisted.

The Phantoms made it 2-0 with a goal from Ryan Rucinski in the first period, assisted by Brecken Smith and Evan Jardine.

The Force’s Kuzma Voronin narrowed the gap to 2-1 halfway through the first, assisted by Sam Laurila and Mason West.

Michael Mesic scored late in the second period, assisted by Jamison Sluys.

The Phantoms increased the lead to 4-1 early in the third period when Brecken Smith found the back of the net, assisted by Kazimier Sobieski and Peter Cisar.

Luke Osburn increased the lead to 5-1 with a goal late in the third, assisted by Evan Jardine and Ryan Rucinski.

Michael Mesic also increased the lead to 6-1 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Jamison Sluys and Cal Huston.

The Phantoms were whistled for eight penalties, while the Force received five penalties.
