SARANGANI, SOCCSKSARGEN — A 5.1 magnitude quake shook close to Nuing on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the area at 09:13 UTC (17:13 local time), was centered roughly 9 km northwest of Nuing. It occurred at a depth of 58 km.
