Wednesday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 14:57 UTC (01:57 local time). The epicenter was located roughly 159 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 35 km.
