DAVAO ORIENTAL, Davao Region — A 5.0 magnitude quake was registered close to Pondaguitan Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck the area at 02:56 UTC (10:56 local time). It occurred at a depth of 112 km with the epicenter located roughly 207 km southeast of Pondaguitan.
