Update: High surf advisory affecting San Diego County Coastal Areas early Saturday evening

An updated high surf advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1:16 p.m. in effect until 4 p.m. for San Diego County Coastal Areas.

The NWS adds to prepare for, “Large breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet with sets to 8 feet.”

“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion,” describes the NWS. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
