Update: High surf advisory affecting Coastal Palm Beach County and Coastal Broward County until Saturday morning

Published Mar 29, 2025

The National Weather Service released an updated high surf advisory at 4:37 a.m. on Saturday in effect until 8 a.m. for Coastal Palm Beach County and Coastal Broward County.

The NWS states to be ready for, “Large breaking waves of 6 to 7 feet in the surf zone.”

“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water,” comments the NWS. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don’t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.”
