The National Weather Service released a heat advisory at 1:13 p.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. The advisory is for La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, Webb, Duval and Jim Wells counties.

The NWS adds to anticipate, “Heat index values up to 106 degrees expected, air temperatures up to 110 degrees.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” comments the NWS.
