Update: Flood advisory previously issued for Savannah Metropolitan Area will expire at 8 p.m.

The advisory was for Bryan, Bulloch and Effingham counties.

“The Flood Advisory will expire at 8 p.m. this evening for a portion of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Bryan, Bulloch and Effingham. The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have receded. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures,” according to the National Weather Service.
