Update: Fire weather watch issued for Central Colorado for Thursday – high fire danger

On Wednesday at 3:27 a.m. an updated fire weather watch was released by the National Weather Service valid for Thursday between noon and 10 p.m. for Upper Arkansas River Valley including Lake County and Chaffee County, Fremont County including Canon City/Howard/Texas Creek, Eastern San Juan Mountains and La Garita Mountains including Wolf Creek Pass and Creede and Southern Front Range including Sangre De Cristo Mountains/Wet Mountains/La Veta Pass.

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
