Update: Fire weather watch in place for Pueblo County for Saturday – gusts reaching 30 mph

On Friday at 10:09 a.m. an updated fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Saturday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Pueblo County including Pueblo.

Winds are forecasted to be east 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and relative humidity as low as 12%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” explains the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
