The National Weather Service released an updated fire weather watch at 1:18 p.m. on Sunday valid for Tuesday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Colorado.

The NWS states that the warning was issued for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels. Winds are expected to be southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and relative humidity 5 to 10 percent.

“Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” adds the NWS.

The full list of affected locations includes:

• Little Snake

• White River

• Lower Colorado River

• Paradox Valley

• North Fork

• Routt County

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
