Fire weather watch affecting Paradox Valley and North Fork Wednesday – gusts up to 35 mph

At 11:53 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued a fire weather watch valid for Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. for Paradox Valley and North Fork.

Winds are forecasted to be southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and relative humidity 10 to 15%.

“Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” comments the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
