Update: Earthquake hits region near Wāngjing, India on April 21 – 5.0 magnitude reported

HKAMTI, Sagaing Region — A 5.0 magnitude quake struck near Wāngjing on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 00:29 UTC (06:59 local time), a tremor rattled the area at a depth of 95 km, with its epicenter about 64 km east of Wāngjing. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later downgraded it to 5.0.
