Update: July 22 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky around midday Tuesday.

The tremor struck at 02:07 UTC (13:07 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 158 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 10 km.
