Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude reported near Mid-Indian Ridge on March 6

A 5.2 magnitude quake struck close to Mid-Indian Ridge on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 11:52 UTC (15:52 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was of Mid-Indian Ridge and occurred at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later upgraded it to 5.2.
