A 6.0 magnitude quake struck near El Progreso around midday Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 19:45 UTC (12:45 local time), with its epicenter approximately 75 km south-southwest of El Progreso and a depth of 10 km.
